SHHS Class of 1959 50th Reunion

 

A barbecue at Fountain Head Country Club on Friday evening got the weekend off to a good start with 42 in attendance. We had a great turnout of 122 folks, including 70 classmates, attend on Saturday night September 26th 2009 at the Elk's Club. 

Our theme was "Remember When?" With the help of many who contributed old photos, a photo CD spanning the years from elementary through high school was given to all classmates along with a keepsake medallion with the SHHS insignia and a large reunion program. The SHHS Class of 1959 50th Reunion Photo CD played as a slide show on a large screen TV. A large table displayed memorabilia from the class while another honored our deceased classmates. Every table was decorated with both green and white buck eyes and mints topped off with a Hershey bar in reunion wrap. The Monninger DJ's played "Golden Oldies", many door prizes were awarded and a silent auction completed the evening.

Everyone really enjoyed our reunion. We could only wish more had been able to come.
